One of these hidden options or features is the default embedded metadata in all documents created in Word. If you want to know more about how to delete this metadata from Word, you are in the right place because then we will talk about how to delete Word users' metadata or personal information.

What are the metadata of Word documents

User metadata or personal information is certain information such as document author name, creation and modification date, size, resolution and others hidden aspects embedded in all Office documents.

When creating a document in Word, various aspects such as comments, document views, annotations, presentations and spreadsheets, among others, intervene and can be added.

These types of aspects can be added visibly or hidden, so that many times the user is not aware that if he is going to share a document with someone else he may inadvertently let others know more than necessary.

Here because deleting the metadata you are presented with the opportunity to make sure that if you don't want anyone to know who the document author is, no one will know or that no one will see a certain internal comment on the document or know the creation date.
